Other interesting things.

We have just had Gardens Sunday which seemed to go extremely well in spite of Sylvia Martin struggling to find people willing to open their gardens.  I believe it raised more than £3000 for church funds

I was there as the Village Organ Grinder, accompanied by my monkey Melvyn.

Note that it is not a hurdy gurdy that I play.  Hurdy gurdys are violins with wheels to bow the strings and they sound absolutely awful, even when played well.  Do an internet search and listen.

I managed to raise £26 for Church funds and am very grateful to all those who were so generous.

Playing outside the church with a fan - my granddaughter.  Melvyn, the monkey, is asleep behind me, being exhausted by the long hours turning the handle.

Catton Park and Longeaton steam rallies were cancelled due to soft ground (due to it being under 2 feet of water).  The next village venue is the September Heritage Weekend - watch this space.
